lifestyle by indie rock duo "Josh and Mer"

Yesterday Josh and I were invited to perform at the traditional Guayaki Yerba Mate booth that occurs every Dead Week at PSU. We could tell some spirits were being lifted from the final push of the school term; there were four tables set up to play games to get a free can of sparkling Yerba Mate and Josh and I (despite the raging lawn mower) played our most rockin’ songs to add to the entertainment.

Our drummer Paul works on campus and joined us for a few songs—thank you, Paul!

After we were done, we were each given a Guayaki gourd and we received a one-on-one training lesson on how to ritually prepare our morning mate.

Big shout out to Chris Sears and David Keller (for the event photos and) for inviting us and teaching us the way of the gourd! We are proud to say it is a perfect addition and it will become a daily routine for us here at Hipster Decadence. We are so proud to share this experience!
