Portland duo Josh and Mer (previously Josh Schroeder and Meredith Adelaide) are no strangers to Kick Kick Snare. Recap with our last post which includes their track “So it Goes” here. As promised, Josh and Mer’s full-length album “Planet Music” is now being delivered fresh of the press.
“From The Sea” makes me nostalgic for the nineties when I used to listen to Smashing Pumpkins’ 1979 on repeat. Sitting shotgun, head leaning out the window with my hair whipping in every direction. Waving to the good looking faces smiling back, and at the same time kicking plenty of dirt up along the path. The production and vocal arrangement…seamless, each layer pristine and present. All part of an undeniable power that comes from bring extraordinarily well paired, proven here.
