Our favorite sleepy dog Cloee is having no part in mixing these songs. She was so great for Planet Music! Sigh. Can’t win ‘em all… (Taken with instagram)

Here it is! We are digging what Ben Parslow and Zen Freese envisioned. Have you seen what they created yet?

Monday we release our official video for “Mind Control.” More behind the scenes images are to come…for now, check back here, here, and here for the previous looks!

We’re so excited to show you! What will happen!?

We had the opportunity to record a few of our songs off our new, unreleased acoustic album “The Tithe” with the talented crew of The Portland Sessions! Here are a few photos of the set up taken by Michele Wylen who accompanied us that day. Big thanks to Erik for setting this up!

A HUGE thank you to Christiana at Indie Shuffle for her review of our record, Planet Music! We’ve been so amazed at the response we’re getting for our music and we wanted to share today’s post:

Sounds like: Rilo Kiley, Metric, The New PornographersWhat’s so good?
If you don’t know about Portland’s Josh And Mer then I’m sure you soon will! Planet Music is Josh And Mer’s first LP, set to release on February 14, and it’s an atmospheric mix of wobbly synths and classic indie rock/pop goodness.
It’s interesting how Josh Schroeder and Meredith Adelaide came to form Josh And Mer. They happened to meet on the set of a Levi’s spec ad where the scene called for Josh to serenade Meredith in a tree. Not your average meeting, but nonetheless, after talking and getting to know each other, the pair realized that they shared similar interests and soon began collaborating… and thank god for that! Fast forward to today and Josh And Mer is quickly gaining fans and a sturdy position in the indie pop scene, even securing appearances at SXSW this year.
Planet Music is a fantastic combination of silky vocals, distorted effects, steady upbeat drums, classic indie folk guitar, otherworldly synths, and an overall terrific grasp on a combination of indie sub-genres intertwined to create a distinctive sound that Josh And Mer can proudly call their own.
If you’re pining for more of what Josh And Mer have to offer, I suggest grabbing a copy of Planet Music on February 14 — and if you happen to be in Austin for SXSW, please do take advantage of their live show!”

Wow. Just wow.

We had an amazing time performing for the sold-out Little Hurricane show at the Crystal Ballroom. The energy, the support, and the amazing response we had gave us so much inspiration we’re sure we’ll be floating for at least a week! I filmed our audience right before we played—thank you for being such a chill bundle of folk! It could not have gone better. A couple photos below—for more updates and photos check our facebook!

Huge shout out to Mark Hamilton and Katy Moore of 94.7fm, and McMenamins for hosting the event; Tobin for our light show, and, of course, Little Hurricane who rocked our socks off!

See you at SXSW!
